Hit The Slopes
While some may think the coming of spring means ski season is over, the ski season in Panorama lasts until mid-April. If you are thinking of heading to Panorama this time of year, get your final runs in for the season. As the warmer temperatures make their way and the sun begins to shine, some may say these are the perfect mountain conditions – just don’t forget those sunglasses!
Explore Surrounding Terrain
If the snow happens to be on its way out by the time you arrive, there’s still plenty of ways to explore the beauty of Panorama, all while getting your adrenaline fix. Toby Creek Adventures offers guided ATV tours where you can explore your surroundings as you travel through the valley and mountain ridges. If you are looking to feel the wind in your hair, their Zip ‘n’ Ride adventure offers you the chance to zipline through the treetops and conquer the mountains by ATV. Opening May 31st.
Play A Round
Opening in May, the award winning Grey Wolf Golf Course combines the love of the sport with unmatched mountain views. Nestled against the Purcell Mountains, Greywolf features beautifully sculpted bentgrass fairways and several unforgettable holes. There’s no question why this course is ranked among some of Canada’s best and has proven to be a bucket list destination for any golfer!
Take To The Water
Experience the local area by water when you rent canoes, kayaks or stand up paddleboards through Columbia River Paddle. If you are looking for a more guided experience, their Lazy River canoe trip travels through these spectacular wetlands, down the Columbia River to Radium Hot Springs. You’ll learn intricate facts about this North American river and its inhabitants, all while experiencing their area in a way that few do.
Stretch Your Legs
There’s no shortage of hiking, biking, and walking trails around the Panorama area. From a leisurely stroll to an adventurous full day trek or mountain bike excursion, there’s a variety of options nearby for visitors to take the scenic route on foot or wheels.
