COVID-19 Update

After so much staying inside and social distancing, you may be thinking: "the mountains are calling and I must go! But should I go?"

Firstly, I hope you, your family, friends and loved ones are all safe and healthy during this time.

The current health crisis has changed every facet of our world but your health, safety and comfort remain at the forefront. In an effort to make Panorama Vacation Retreat as safe as possible we have updated our already thorough cleaning guidelines and implemented additional processes and procedures to ensure your peace of mind. Due to physical distancing measures, we will no longer conduct mid-week housekeeping services. However,  you are welcome to request additional supplies at anytime during your stay and they can be delivered.

I also want to address many of the questions that we have been getting:

Is it safe for out of province travelers to come to BC?

The mayor of Invermere has been promoting a welcoming message to those coming to our beautiful mountain town. "Be safe, Be Kind". You are all welcome to travel here and enjoy your week, provided you are not sick, and that you are willing to follow the extra measures in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19. Many people have seen news coverage that Alberta vehicles have been targeted in small BC towns. Please know that this is not taking place in Invermere or Panorama and we look forward to welcoming you as we always do with open hearts.

What should I do if I don't want to travel?

RCI, RTX and DAE are exchange companies that can accept your Panorama week. If you can't make it to the resort during your fixed scheduled week this year, please contact one of these exchange companies to deposit your week.

I really want to come out there to escape the city but I am a member in a winter week?

We have Bonus Time available for rental. What better place to travel than a property close to home, that you know, love and trust? Maybe you would feel safest coming back to the resort a few times this summer rather than traveling farther away for longer periods of time? Bonus time is available at 50% off the rack rate and can be booked within 30 days of your arrival. Contact us at 250-341-3011 to book. Please note there is a 2 night minimum stay for all reservations.

What is open in Invermere?

Many stores in the valley are open and they are all practicing physical distancing and many ask you to sanitize as you enter and leave their place of business. Please check out the business and services update below. This website is updated regularly and will give you a better idea what is open during your stay.

Did you know that Panorama has a new water treatment facility? This means the end of boil water advisory. Yahoo! We can confidently drink the water here at Panorama year round without having to bring bottled water from home in the spring and summer months.

Maybe with the extra space you are saving by not having to bring water, we could ask you to throw a few beach towels in with your packing this summer. The guidelines for housekeeping during COVID-19 require us to remove everything from the unit between stays. In the past, we were able to stock lots of towels under those bathroom sinks for your use. If they didn't get used, no problem. With the new guidelines, we cannot leave any unused clean towels or clean linens in the unit. As a result, we are unable to stock as many extra towels in the units under the sink. If you have room, please bring some beach towels for your outdoor use at the swimming areas. There will still be extra in the unit, just not as many as before.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the resort this summer. No doubt it will be different but it will still be great. There will be another Newsletter coming out in a few weeks with more exciting information for you.

Until then, be safe, be kind! Facts not fear, clean hands and open hearts. We will get through this!

This was a beautiful escape for the week. We had wonderful accommodations equipped with full kitchen lovely living room and comfy bed. Each morning we would get up and do a beautiful walk around the resort. Cascading waterfalls wildlife and wonder all around us. It was a lovely week away in the mountains.
